The mineral pools are the heart of the property: a large warm mineral swimming pool plus two mineral hot tubs, gated and partially covered for a semi-indoor feel. All overnight guests have access during their stay, and the pools are open from 8am to 10:00pm daily. Day spa guests receiving spa services have access for two hours.

Overnight guests choose from 28 comfortable, affordable rooms, each with a mini-refrigerator, TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, coffee and tea — and hot mineral water piped directly to the room for mineral showers. Eight Mineral Soak Rooms add in-room two-person mineral soak tubs. Around the grounds, guests find two bocce ball courts, a picnic area with corn hole and ping pong, multiple outdoor fire pits, a sundeck above the pool area and complimentary bicycle use during daylight hours for overnight guests.
Spa Treatments
The spa is famous for its Couples and Friends Mud Baths — a Calistoga tradition of more than 100 years. The mud is made from clay, peat and hot mineral water, and the hour-long, three-step treatment includes a mud bath, a clay face mask with a cool compress, a hot springs mineral bath and an aromatherapy cool-down — see the spa treatments. The Couples and Friends Special is $128.00 per person Monday through Thursday, and $138.00 per person Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday periods; a Single Mud Bath is $169.00 per person. Guests must be at least 18 for the mud bath experience. Massage, herbal mineral bath options and full-body salt scrubs are also offered.
Access and Usage Fees
Hotel and spa guests enjoy complimentary use of the pools; no day passes are sold to non-guests. Overnight guests have pool access during their stay (pools open 8am to 10:00pm daily), while day spa guests receiving spa services have two hours of pool access. The front desk is open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
